Cintas Production Process

We are grateful for the valued partnership we have shared. Collaborating with your talented and innovative team has been a privilege, and we look forward to continuing our partnership for years to come.
As we began discussing your upcoming project, we thought it might be helpful to give you a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the process behind one of our ghost mannequin photoshoots, as this is a new style of project for some of your team members.
From the initial stages of pre-production to the final touches in post-production, our dedicated team at OMS is committed to delivering the highest-quality assets that allow you to present your business to your standard across the diverse sectors you operate in.
The OMS Production Process
Pre-Production
The first step in our process is working with our in-house production team to solidify the logistics for your shoot. This includes finalizing vendor contracts for invoicing purposes, a kick-off meeting, and a pre-production call with your team to iron out all the final details and set expectations for the shoot.
Once the product arrives, we check every article and create an inventory spreadsheet. We tag each item and cross reference against your provided list to ensure each product is accounted for.
We then create custom tags/tracking numbers for each article. This ensures a seamless handoff of final assets and ease of importing into your business's unique organizational platform.
We then import the final spreadsheet into a customized (client-specific) software system called QuickBase. Our unique QuickBase system lets you track your project's status (down to the article of clothing) in real-time.
Once each article is added to our system, we remove it from the packaging and hang the garments on a clothing rack. Garments are organized according to groups and styles.
The garments will then receive their first steam.
Once the fold marks and wrinkles are steamed, the products are ready to shoot.
This portion of our process involves 3 OMS Team Members - a Producer, Photo Assistant & Creative Tech.

Production
The Photographer will light the set once we have the garments in order. The lighting is arranged to capture the garment dynamically while meeting your brand standards/guidelines.
The Digital Tech will then enter the first garment into our QuickBase system to start the process by the style/color number that has previously been tagged.
The Stylist and Photographer will place the garment on the mannequin and begin clipping and pinning to ensure it fits appropriately. Then the garment will be steamed for the final time on the mannequin to remove any wrinkles or creases that have appeared during the dressing process.
Once the desired image is captured, the Digital Tech will mark the 'hero' image and enter it into the QuickBase system.
The mannequin is then turned around to show the opposite side.
The team will repeat the above process.
When the final reverse image is captured, the stylist will re-tag the completed garment and return it to its original packaging.
Garments are then put into a specific box that ensures easy tracking once you receive the finished products.
At the end of the session, the Digital Tech will check the shot list to ensure every item for the day has been captured, tagged, and appropriately put away. They will then upload the completed session on the OMS server to officially hand the photos to our in-house retouching team.

Post-Production
Once the images are received, our post-production team begins the initial pass at the images, which includes removing the background, mannequin, and color correction (if needed).
During this process, our Photo Retouching Team can work directly with the Photographer and Digital Tech to discuss any optimizations that can be made or real-time feedback given by your team during the shoot.
The first round of images is shared with you for review.
Edits from your team can be made in our real-time feedback software. Your team can work directly with your assigned retoucher should you have any questions you'd like to discuss in real-time.
Once round one image edits are entered into the system by your team, our retouchers make the requested adjustments.
Round two edits are then shared for final review.
Once the final edits are made, the retouching team will export the final files into our shared system in the desired output and file size.
Your team can then utilize the high-resolution final images.
*Our standard review process in post-production is two rounds of review to get to a final product.
This portion of our process involves 2 OMS Team Members - a post-production producer and a retoucher/editor.
Each step in our process is essential to ensure the highest quality final product. With over 30 years of experience, years of familiarity with the Cintas brand standards and products, and a shooting space designed for large-capture shoots, we are equipped and prepared to effectively and efficiently handle your project.
Below are a few examples of our process in action.
