The versatility of the Swisher Sweets, BLK, Legend and Leaf brands inspire me to delve deeper into each of their personalities and bring them to life in their own ways. Exploring various lighting techniques, depending on what feels right for the product or scene, will be crucial to give each product their own moment. The exploration is truly the fun part for me! Whether that be bringing in subtle gels in the apartment or window sesh scenes that feel like warm sunlight dappling through the windows while balancing natural light, or using neutral toned, soft diffusion to mimic the way an artist would have brighter, even lighting in their painting studio, or balancing moody lighting with ambient lamps and candles for the lounge scenes - all of these slight adjustments help to create a real life feel, where a consumer can see themselves in the scenes and relate.

The propping, set design, and framing of the camera are also equally as important to me as a photographer. Utilizing appropriate angles, getting creative with foreground props that frame the subject or product, as if we are a fly on the wall in each of these spaces, will also help the consumer feel like they are a part of these scenes. I absolutely love jumping in, flying around with the camera, and trying anything and everything as I shoot so that the moments I capture do not feel stale or robotic, especially with talent.

Collaboration is also immensely welcomed and encouraged on my sets! I adore the dance that happens when working alongside art/creative directors, stylists, assistants, and of course, clients. Creating together is meant to be fun! Trying any idea is worth it, because you never know what works until you try it. I look forward to creating together!
