Two OMS Photographers Shortlisted for the 2026 World Food Photography Awards
We’re proud to share that two OMS photographers, Monty Milburn and Delaney McQuown, have been shortlisted for the 2026 World Food Photography Awards, an international recognition celebrating the very best in food and agriculture photography.
Monty’s image, selected in the Bringing Home the Harvest category, captures a moment that feels both deeply personal and universally understood. Shot from inside the combine, the frame looks out across a Midwestern field as it transforms in real time – golden crops giving way to clean rows of stubble. It’s a study in patience, process, and the quiet weight of a season’s worth of work coming to a close.

“I watched the field shift from standing gold to clean rows of stubble. Dust hangs in the late afternoon light, and the combine hums steadily beneath me. Months of work come down to this moment—one pass at a time under a wide Midwestern sky.”
— Monty Milburn
Delaney’s shortlisted image, recognized in the Claire Aho Female Photography Award, brings a different but equally compelling perspective. Known for her ability to build layered, tactile environments, Delaney’s work often blurs the line between still life and story, using texture, color, and composition to create imagery that feels both intentional and instinctive. Her nomination is a reflection of a practice that is as thoughtful as it is visually striking.

We’re incredibly proud of both Monty and Delaney for this recognition and grateful to be part of a community that continues to push the boundaries of what food and agriculture photography can be.
Congratulations to all of the other shortlisted recipients, we’re honored to be in such great company and can’t wait to see the final results!
