Building the Dream – A Lifestyle Shoot for Wayne Homes with Monty Milburn

When it comes to lifestyle photography, authenticity is everything. That’s exactly what OMS Photographer and owner Monty Milburn brought to life in his recent shoot for Wayne Homes, a custom home builder known for making dream homes a reality across the Midwest.

This multi-day production was designed to create a versatile image library that could be used across Wayne Homes’ marketing channels, from web and print to social media.

Monty and the OMS team focused on variety of talent, locations, and storytelling moments.

Talent

To reflect the wide range of Wayne Homes buyers, we cast a mix of talent that included young families, couples, and multi-family…each representing different life stages and lifestyles. This diversity allowed the images to feel relatable and inclusive, speaking to the full spectrum of potential Wayne Homes customers.

Rather than overly posed shots, Monty captured genuine interactions: a mom helping her daughter bake cookies in the kitchen, a couple sipping coffee on their front porch, grandparents playing with grandkids in the backyard. These candid, joyful moments helped the imagery feel natural and warm.

Multiple Scenes, One Story

Each home featured in the shoot was styled to feel lived-in, but polished. Our prop stylist, Kim Martin, in partnership with the Wayne Home’s team and agency Strada, thoughtfully staged key rooms; kitchens, bedrooms, great rooms, mudrooms, and front porches to show off both the design potential and the emotional connections that form within these spaces.

A Cohesive, Custom Image Library

The final result? A robust, high-quality image library that gives the Wayne Homes marketing team everything they need to tell compelling brand stories year-round. With a range of looks, seasons, demographics, and settings, the content is built to last and to grow alongside the Wayne Homes brand.
