Capturing History: OMS Photography and the Super Bowl Ring

Every year, when football’s biggest moment arrives, one tradition never gets old for our team at OMS Photography is capturing the Super Bowl championship ring. As a 30+ year old studio with deep ties to both Cincinnati and the Midwest, it’s an honor that connects our community roots to the heart of American sports history with the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH.

Our relationship with the NFL and ESPN began back in 2019 when we were asked to photograph every Super Bowl ring from 1966 – onward . We partnered with the Hall of Fame to create detailed 360-degree imagery that showcased every detail of the historic rings.

Since then, ESPN and the Hall of Fame have continued to bring us back as their trusted partner, allowing us to document each year’s latest championship ring. This year was no exception. We brought all of our technical expertise, from precision lighting and macro photography to advanced 360° interactive capture, to present the newest ring in a way that feels immersive and timeless.

Our goal with each shoot is to make every champion’s ring feel as special as the season it represents, and give fans everywhere a front-row look at history through our lens.

Capturing these iconic rings, year after year, pushes us creatively and technically, inspiring us to push into new formats like 360 video and interactive photo experiences that elevate how people connect with these symbols of triumph.

For the team at OMS, photographing the Super Bowl ring isn’t just another assignment – it’s an opportunity to celebrate sport, storytelling, and craftsmanship in a way that bridges the local pride we carry with every project and the global audience that loves seeing champions immortalized through our work.
