01 The Brief

A regional icon. Visuals worthy of the legend.

Skyline Chili occupies a unique space in the food world. It is a regional brand with the kind of cult following most national chains would envy. Every coney, every five-way, every oyster cracker crunch carries cultural weight that the photography has to honor. The work cannot look generic. It has to feel like Skyline.

OMS produced a content library spanning food photography, a brand video, and animated GIF assets for social media, covering everything from steamed coney hero shots to layer-build sequences that show exactly what makes the Skyline experience worth craving.

02 Our Approach

Shot in Cincinnati. Built for the fans who know it best.

OMS is a Cincinnati studio. We know Skyline the way the fans know it. That familiarity informed every creative decision, from how the chili layer reads against the spaghetti to how the steam rises off a fresh coney. The food styling and photography were crafted to trigger the appetite and nostalgia that make Skyline such a powerful regional brand.

Phase 01 — Pre-Production
Shot planning for hero and layered builds
OMS developed shot lists covering Skyline's core menu items, grocery and signature presentations, including steamed coneys, five-way builds, and ingredient-level detail. Food styling direction was mapped ahead of shoot days to ensure every item was prepped and staged for maximum appetite appeal under studio lighting.
Phase 02 — Food Photography
Heroes and layer-build sequences
OMS photographed Skyline's menu items across hero setups and layered build sequences, capturing the textures and details that make the brand's food visually distinct. Controlled lighting managed steam, sauce sheen, and ingredient texture for imagery that performs across advertising and digital formats.
Phase 03 — Video and Motion
Brand video plus animated social content
OMS produced a brand video for Skyline alongside animated GIF assets derived from the photography for social media use. The motion content maintained the same appetite-driven visual language as the still library for full campaign cohesion across channels.
Phase 04 — Post-Production
Retouching built for regional pride
OMS's in-house retouching team handled color grading, background cleanup, and final asset formatting. Every image was refined to feel craveable and authentic, consistent with the Skyline brand identity and ready for deployment across advertising, digital, and social channels.
