Do the ingredients need to look perfect before food retouching?

No. Flawless ingredients are not required for breathtaking food photography. OMS retouchers can expertly remove imperfections, enhance texture and freshness, correct color, add or remove elements, and build complete scenes in post-production.

Can you add or remove elements from a food photo in post?

Yes. OMS retouchers can edit elements in or out of food photography using compositing techniques — adding ingredients, props, or background elements, or removing unwanted objects, surface imperfections, and distractions from the scene.

Can you retouch food photography for on-pack and packaging use?

Yes. OMS provides food retouching optimized for CPG packaging applications, including label-ready color accuracy, consistent product appearance across SKU families, and print-ready CMYK file output.

Do you retouch food photos for menu, web, and social media?

Yes. OMS delivers food retouching for the full range of end uses including restaurant menu (print and digital), web and ecommerce, social media advertising, and national print campaigns.

What food categories do you retouch?

OMS retouches across all food categories including confectionery and chocolate, frozen foods and ice cream, fresh produce, snacks and CPG packaged goods, restaurant and QSR menu items, and specialty food products. Clients include Hershey, GoodPop, and national CPG food brands.

What source files do you need for food retouching?

RAW files are preferred for maximum flexibility in color correction and exposure work. Processed TIFFs and PSDs also work well. For composite food retouching, provide all component layers — hero subject, background, and any additional elements — in the highest resolution available.

What file formats do you deliver for food retouching?

OMS delivers layered TIFFs and PSDs on request, flattened TIFFs, JPEGs, and transparent PNGs. For print and on-pack applications, please specify CMYK color space. For web and ecommerce, sRGB is standard.

How much does food photo retouching cost?

OMS quotes each food retouching project individually based on complexity, number of images, and deliverable specifications. Typical per-image pricing ranges from $75 to $450. The quote includes the first round of basic revision edits. Contact us with your project details for an accurate estimate.

What is the turnaround time for food retouching?

Standard turnaround is 2–3 business days. Complex composite or high-volume projects may require additional time. Contact OMS before submitting to discuss your timeline.
